The Battle for Best in the West Field Mess 

U.S. Marines assigned to Combat Service Support Company, I Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion fill a food container with chicken in the expeditionary field kitchen at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California Sept. 28, 2018. The Marines were competing for the title, “Best Field Mess” for I MEF and a chance to compete for the William Pendleton Thompson Hill Award.
